We saw the new and upcoming movie, Ang Babaeng Allergic Sa WiFi last August 13 in it’s Red Carpet Premiere. It was my girls’ first time to attend and see a movie in it’s premiere night, actually. They were excited and hesitant at the same time.
We did not have the tickets yet at the time we arrived as we were yet to meet Joy, a member of Blakers Republic. Blakers Republic is a fans club of Jameson Blake, a former Pinoy Big Brother 737 housemate and a member of It’s Showtime’s boy group, Hashtags. When we got hold of our free tickets, Joy assisted us to a good spot near the small stage that was prepared for the actors and actresses. She was also nice to have introduced K to Jameson’s mom.
Ang Babaeng Allergic Sa WiFi Lead Cast
His mom then accompanied K to a nearby restaurant where the lead casts wait. K was not really prepared that was going to happen. She told me that she was so shy when she was introduced to Sue Ramirez, the lead actress. And she was already feeling cold and shaking a little when she was introduced to Jameson Blake. The Shout Out girl finally met him. They had a little chit-chat, but it was Jameson who did most of the chatting. She got so timid. She also got a chance to have a photo taken with the other lead actor, Markus Paterson.
Jameson and the Shoutout Girl
K said that Jameson and his mom were so nice and accommodating. Jameson has already sent her a direct message and apologized for the controversial shoutout tweet, but he also mentioned to her that he really looked forward to meeting her in person. He also wished for K to enjoy the movie and thanked her before she exited the room.
Ang Babaeng Allergic sa Wi-Fi Movie Premiere
The cast, the director and the singer (Keiko Necesario) of the movie’s theme song were introduced inside the cinema before the movie started. Sue and Keiko even sang the song, While We Are Young – the audience sang with them.
The girls also saw pretty Mariz Racal, Inigo Pascual, Yayo Aguila, Lee O’Brian, Henz Villaraiz, Boots Anson-Roa, and Kiko Matos, to name a few.
Ang Babaeng Allergic sa Wi-Fi has a very unique story line. It is about a girl who suddenly developed a rare allergy to WiFi, called electromagnetic Hypersensitivity. Her lifestyle all of a sudden has to change as she had to leave her city life, social media, high school and deal with a long distance relationship with her boyfriend. She lived with her grandmother in a remote town where WiFi is not available. She discovers a lot of things and people that really matter.
We were also in awe of the cinematography. Well, I don’t know anything about it, but we liked what we saw. 🙂 There were instances that everyone would laugh, and then cry the next scene.
The movie is packed with life lessons and realizations that are emphasized by the movie’s soundtrack. I personally like all the songs in this movie and the part where you realize that , you really connect when when you disconnect.
The movie has touched the hearts of not just the lead actors’ fans but of many others. I saw K wiping her tears. The movie is something we can recommend to group of friends, and families too. this movie can be something to watch as a family as kids nowadays are so attached to their gadgets. It is but right to somehow drop these gadgets and appreciate what nature and the people who truly value and love us, have for us – at least before it is too late. Again, disconnect to reconnect with the real world.
