K and I won 2 Miss Granny movie tickets each from a Twitter contest. It was really unexpected, especially the fact that we have just seen Ang Babaeng Allergic Sa WiFi twelve days ago.
By following a Jadine Fan account in Twitter, I learned about this giveaway. Xian Lim’s, Jadine and Popsters joined forces to come up with this giveaway and block screening. I immediately followed the instructions for my entry to be counted. After submitting, I informed a friend about it and my daughter too.
Miss Granny Movie
Sarah Geronimo’s Miss Granny movie is a comedy-drama and an adaptation of the Korean movie of the same title. It is about an elderly woman who left home and found a second chance at youth when she visited and had her picture taken at a “magical” photo studio. She was forced to live at an apartment in the same neighborhood where her son’s family resides.
We found ourselves laughing, and in tears too at the most touching scenes. My girls were suddenly interested with Audrey Hepburn and are now singing the songs from the movies original soundtrack. Personally, this for me is Sarah’s best performance in a movie, so far. And yet again, the movie being about a grandmother, we we’re reminded of my Mama.
We highly recommend this movie. It is full of realizations that the youth today need. It is good that lessons how to value relationships, how important it is to respect the elderly and how to work for your dreams are all packaged in one movie.
I wonder how many movie tickets will I win using my social media accounts? =D
