My daughter K, @heyitskea on Instagram, installed AutoDesk Sketchbook and made herself busy with a few small artworks.
This one below took her a week if I’m not mistaken. She is a fan of BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan or Bulletproof Boy Scouts), specifically Kim Taehyung a.k.a. V. She must have thought of challenging herself to try a little more complicated image, thus chose this one. I just had to take a screenshot of both the reference and her accomplishment. Along the way, she got worried saying she can not do the teeth and hair parts as they seem too difficult. There was even an outline at first, but I had to ask her try without it instead to add to the already significant difficulty.
Also, I had to tell her that it is indeed difficult as she is obviously a beginner. It will go easy along the way. The “keep trying” and “never give up” advises worked for her. This was a chance for me to remind our daughter that “All things are difficult before they become easy.” And nothing will ever be accomplished if you just keep telling yourself that the situation or task is hard, you gotta face that fear, start and keep going to achieve success.
She posted her finished artworks in her Instagram account @heyitskea_. As a Mom, I can not help but be proud of her. Oh! By the way, she made this using her mobile phone, no stylus used, just her bare fingers. With the satisfied look on her face after posting her “Taehyung” artwork, I know that she will be creating a few more, more of BTS. She has received email messages and direct messages too expressing their admiration of her works.
Her love of drawing and designing has made her decide to take Arts and Design Track, Visual Arts strand in Senior High. She even has another mobile phone app installed called Design Home (Crowdstar Inc) and I guess it helps her learn more about interior designing and sharpen her skills too. She has not completely decided yet if she will push for Architecture or Interior Design in college, and it may still change as she face the fun and challenges of senior high. For us her parents, she has our support and guidance – to anything that would make her happy and give her the feeling of fulfillment – all the way.
Giving emphasis on the “Save” button, Pinterest has decided to remove its “Like” button. For some accounts, this has already been implemented and will soon roll out to the rest of the Pinterest users.
“The No. 1 challenge is getting people to understand that Pinterest isn’t a social network,” CEO Ben Silbermann told Bloomberg.
So, what happens to those beautiful pins you have liked?
Pinterest will save the pins users liked on a separate, secret board called “Your Pinterest Likes”.
At least, those pins you liked and have not decided to save yet are still saved for you to easily go back and refer to when needed. Should you desire to save the ones you have liked, it can easily be moved to your existing public boards.
My friend asked me to make an invitation and tarpaulin for my Godson Miggi”s 3rd birthday. I gladly said yes sine I haven”t done any scrapbooking lately. I decided to look for freebies that I can use for the Angry Birds theme. I found one from Shery K Designs and I am very thankful that it made my project cute and it was done with ease. I also found a Dora The Explorer and Minni Mouse theme I might download too in preparation for my daughter”s birthday as well. This site is really awesome.
Thank you as well to my friend Hazel who owns Funtastic Shots Photobooth. She helped me with some Photoshop tips. I am happy with the outcome of the Angry bird themed invitation and tarp I made specially for Miggi.

Haley Roneese turned 19 months today. She can already say Thank You which is “Q” in her version. She taps and pulls me off my PC chair whenever she wants Mommy to draw something or needs me to prepare her milk. She cal
ls her big sister “Atchi” whom she hugs and wrestle most of the time. She waves and says BYE and HELLO to everyone at home and so as to our neighbors. She also enjoys helping around the house by keeping her toys away after using it, and so as the pillow, by the way. She calls her dirty hands “ouch” and dries them up on her own after washing it. Roey can imitate a barking dog non stop, lol! And the best of all, she reads out loud, in her own language that is.
I made this one especially for my little Roey. I used and combined several freebies I got to download few days ago. I”m also trying to do a research so I can create layouts, stickers and embellishments on my own. I”m really liking this hobby and blogging is definitely one fun way for me to share it. I”m joining a party of colors tomorrow but decided to post it now.
I”ve been browsing the net for an affordable printer when I came across an interesting video. Thus, sharing it here came to my mind. I know a lot of moms (like me) out there are into scrap booking, and crafting. Some even have their biz out of their
hobbies. There are numerous businesses that offer personalized invitations, calendars, thank you cards, paper bags and so on. Even cake bakers will love this. It will definitely inspire you to do more.
I”ve watched this video, the introduction of Cricut, the Cricut Expression 2 and so as the interesting Cricut Cake.
And my little lady Keanna is but as interested as me.
Now that we”ve watched the videos together, she wants me to get one for her. WoW!
Again, trying my hands in digital scrapbooking using an old photo of my daughter Keanna. This was taken more than 2 years ago at a park about 20 mins away from us. I’m sharing it to Harriet’s Shadow Shot Sunday. For more awesome entries, just go ahead and click on the badge below. Have fun!
Today is one of my closest cousin’s birthday. To make my simple present a little special, I made this for her. I know everyone would agree with me that she looks prettier in Purple, right? I don’t have any siblings and I grew up close to my relatives. She’s like a real big sister to me. I can still remember that she would invite me for sleepovers when I was a teener and so as make healthy oats for breakfast as soon as we get up. It’s really nice to reminisce precious moments. Again, Ate Jen… HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Stay healthy, young and happy!
My daughter, when this was taken was about 4 years old… she”s now turning 9 by July. In this featured photo, she”s delighted to have a luces, it”s a small type of firework you held by your hand. And this by the way was taken New Year”s eve, as we welcome 2007. The reason why I”ve chosen this to upload is because you can no longer have my daughter hold a lighted luces like this one. I”m not sure why though but definite that she”s never had a bad experience about it. She cried the last time I lighted one and gave to her. On the contrary, it is actually okay to me as her mom. I guess my daughter has learned from other people”s experiences. We often see videos of people who accidentally lost some of their fingers or had bloody experiences playing with fireworks. That”s always in the news after or even before New Year”s eve. There are just some who likes to break rules, that is why.
Anyways, here”s my entry for Shadow Shot Sunday. My first in this new blog site where I”d like to share my hobbies and interests. Used a digital camera here, no flash, no edits. I truly welcome comments, suggestions and even critical remarks, hehe!
I have already blogged about my daughter’s purple skirt here but I’m gonna use it again, hope you guys don’t mind.
I succeeded in sewing a skirt for my daughter which I had her wore at Jillian’s party and then again at school as her costume. She won 2nd place in their annual English declamation contest. I picked Purple cloth to match her blouse perfectly.
As I’ve mentioned, this blog is home to my hobbies. Check out that Pink blouse of Keanna and you’ll see what I’ve ensembled. Purple necklace with Black ribbon! I stitched it at the sides of the shoulders of her blouse. Another thing I did was the headband she’s wearing. No, I didn’t make it but redecorated it instead. I added Black flower shaped lace and voila!
Though I haven’t made any dress yet, I have already collaborated designs that I find cute and cool for little girls. Hoping I’ll manage to find time for my sewing hobby soon.
