Beer Taps as a Collectible

It”s surprising how many different kinds of beer taps there are. There seems to be something to fit almost any bar style. Many people prefer beer on tap over bottled and canned. This is one reason that many bar owners choose to have great cla

ssic beer taps installed in their bar. Some of these beer taps are a collection of great detailed taps that lend to the atmosphere of the bar. This is a good way to personalize the bar and make it the bar that you intended it to be.

You can find some amazing beer taps at your local pub and the taps say a lot about the bar. Have you ever noticed that one of the favorite spots to hang out at a bar is by the beer taps? These can be great conversation starters and some of them may even have some history to them. These taps can really show off a bar and may be as important to the bar owner as the first dollar that they earn.

Did you know that beer taps are actually collectible? It”s true; you can find a large number of collectible antique beer taps online. Many of them are worth a large amount of money and can be considered an investment if pursued correctly. It seems that if you are the lucky holder of an antique beer tap you could have a pretty sizeable profit there. Beer taps all over the world are different in style and size. Some people will even collect beer taps from around the globe as a way of marking their travel to that location. Clearly, there is more to beer taps than meets then you might think and the next time you spy one in your local pub think about where it might have come from and if there is any history to it.

Hair Bows Giveaway

Pasko sa Agosto

Ito ang unang pagkakataon na gumawa ako ng pakontes sa aking blog at ako”y tunay na nasasabik. Huli man ako s

Though late for the Pasko Sa Agosto launch, I insisted and took an effort to have my cousin take these pictures. I wanted my prizes to look pretty and presentable of course! Headbands I Made

I remember when I was in 4th grade until early in High School, my Mama made a lot of bows, pillows, skirts, headbands at cute clips for me to wear and sell. She”s my inspiration. When she passed away, I felt that “love” or passion for these things v

anished. I lost the will to start making even just one, but I honestly still have the interest. Since I have been a SAHM for almost 4 mos now, I have seen how difficult it is to manage almost everything. Household chores, kids and finances too! That remaining interest in crafts and having 2 girls made me try and go back in what my Mom really loved. I am proud to have made these:

The Purple flower was an extra cloth from the skirt I made for Keanna. The Pink rose was a half yard ribbon I found in my sewing box and the floral (3rd photo) were trimmings from an old blouse. Keanna was so eager to learn the how to”s as well and was even planning of selling them to her classmates. The genes is becoming obvious! LoL! We had fun making these and having her model too.

These added inspirations came from a friend. My daughters love “em to bits! THANK you, Ched. These lovely bows were bought from another friend, Iris of Posh Baby. Now, I found myself planning and wanting to head over to a craft store in Divisoria. It”s about time. I guess my dreams about my Mama was an eye opener. It was her wake up call. I have been so lazy for the past few weeks and have not accomplished any. I have to prove myself. And I have to start right NOW.

I am by the way, linking up this post to these wonderful memes:

Pinterest is Interesting

I was invited my Mommy May of Nshima Servings to join Pinterest. It is like an online collection of your bookmarks. You get to “pin” what interests you and have them categorized too. Aside from that, you can f

ollow other people”s boards and re-pin their pins. I got hooked in an instant! I have made several boards already and pinned a lot. Here”s a screenshot of just 8 of my boards, there are few more boards I didn”t get to capture. LoL!

What I find interesting the most is the home improvement category in which I get to see and dream of having our own home beautifully. Pinterest also has thousands of tips in organizing, home decor and DIYs. I really love spending time in this new social media platform.

Find it interesting? Go create an account. If you need an invite, just tell me. Have fun pinning!

The Weekend Getaway

Yet another photo taken by my niece Jennilyn. This time, her model is her big sister Joan, an RN. I have already posted one of her shots HERE and I’d like to share a few more. This has her permission of course.
I played with the colors again using Photoshop CS3. Looking at it right now and comparing it to the original, I really need to learn a LOT. Ha Ha! I can’t wait to have my fingers clicking in my own dslr camera! I need to get opportunities so my dream would materialized. Right?
I love what Joan’s wearing, very colorful. And since it has been mentioned, this will serve as my entry to this week’s Colorful Weekend. Have a blessed Sunday everyone!
